Plasticgod is an internationally known Los Angeles pop artist who over the years has established himself as a pop culture revivalist focusing on celebrity caricature with a celebrity collector list of 200 + including J.J. Abrams, Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway, Seth Green, Malcolm McDowell and much of Hollywood along with the Mayor of Burbank, Will Rogers and ambassadors of Switzerland. California’s current Governor Gavin Newsom even singled him out at an art charity event in San Francisco.

 

He’s been exhibiting in museums and galleries around the world since 2001 including the Andy Warhol Museum and in the past has shown with Paul McCarthy, Ed Ruscha, and John Baldessari.

 

After showing extensively in over 200 plus shows, he’s reached one of his highest achievements of #1 selling artist at Sanrio’s Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary “Three Apples” Exhibition with 1400 pieces sold.

 

Other milestones include being the crowd favorite at the The Vader Project exhibition that traveled three continents with a final destination at Freeman’s Auctioneers where it was the 5th highest selling piece out of 100 other designs ending up at Rancho Obi Wan as part of the largest Star Wars collection in the world.

 

In the press, he’s been interviewed in a host of magazines and websites including Vanity Fair with four other top artists in the United States regarding how he would decorate the Oval Office for President Obama.

 

He’s had his works seen in music videos, Netflix’s The Kominsky Method (Nov 2019) and major networks like MTV, HGTV, G4, FuelTV and Your LA on NBC. He’s been published in 6 books, press in international magazines such as Italian Vogue and Elle, as well as two issues in Entertainment Weekly, Juxtapoz and mentions in the New York and Los Angeles Times among others.

 

In the vinyl toy realm he’s known for designing the official Nick Cave vinyl figure/doll, designed the exclusive Moonman vinyl toy for the 2007 MTV VMA’s and had an international vinyl toy hit called the Axis of Evil that garnered attention from South Korean press and Ellen Degeneres.
