TIGER KING MORPHS INTO HELLO KITTY!
Tiger King, the seven episode, hit sensation documentary on Netflix, which is zooming to popularity as COVID19 spreads across the world, received the unique treatment of artist Plasticgod. In 2009 and 2010, for the Sanrio 50th and Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary shows, Plasticgod was invited to create nearly 100 parodies of pop culture's mega stars in the Hello Kitty style; everyone from Lady Gaga to The Beatles. With what is arguably the hottest ticket in online TV, right now, Plasticgod decided to refashion the cast’s star, Joe Exotic into another Hello Kitty parody, complete with Hello Kitty bow, flamboyant, sequined shirt, mullet, stache, and cane to join in the ongoing meme fun! The Kominsky Method, with actors Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin, also screening on Netflix, was recently filmed/aired with Plasticgod’s artwork as a backdrop during a scene at a popular Hollywood yogurt shop. His mural of prominent, iconic figures such as Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Portman and Mario add interest and playfulness to the show’s set. There are actually 21 notables included in the mural, spanning a 16 foot wall, which highlights well-known individuals from all genres such as Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein and Steven Spielberg in Plasticgod’s signature style at Frog Frozen Yogurt, 1550 N Cahuenga Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028.
